Your role comprises a great variety of tasks and can be split in the following areas: 

• Manage local organisations to secure compliance regarding local VAT matters (i.e. registration, and refund application processes, reconciliation of VAT returns with the accounting systems as well as with Intrastat, and ESL).
• Support business fields (i.e. Supply Chain) regarding conceptually optimised business planning from a VAT perspective.
• Build up and maintain a consulting and training function for VAT-related matters.
• Analysis, review, and validation of invoicing processes with accounting systems.  

This diverse and challenging role has a high impact on tax refund processes and overall business profitability. It demands the skills of an experienced and sound professional with some 7+ years of international VAT experience, preferably acquired in the service or transportation industry, in consultancy with related focus, or – ideally - a combination of both. In addition to a University degree in Economics or equivalent, excellent communication and organisation skills are a prerequisite to assume this role. The ideal candidate is a team player, and is "hands-on" and assertive when needed. Possessing an analytical mindset and a thorough knowledge of accounting systems and IT applications are essential. An excellent command of (Tax) English and a willingness to travel approximately 20 % are also requirements.
